DUOC UC is a private nonprofit educational institute founded in 1968 by the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. It is one of the biggest and most important institutions of education in Chile with 105.888 students, 4.156 teachers, 2.397 administrative staff, 9 schools and 70 technical and professional programs. Its 18 campuses are located in 5 regions across the country. Duos UC is a recognized leader in technical and vocational education in Chile. With a practical emphasis, its teaching model is based on the development of labour competences, which translates in the method of learning by doing. Hence the development of educational curricula is based on information provided by the industry.
